Adgitize is down! What are you doing now?

Adgitize seems to be down since 10 pm Malaysian time (2 pm GMT). That means i can't renew my ad which will expire in the next 12 hours and i didn't click my 50 ads too.

Additionally the ads are not displayed on our blogs which means our page and ad views will be lower than normal. Until now i can't see any message on Adgitize's Blog which would indicate how long the website will be offline or what has been the cause for this unexpected downtime. In the past Ken Brown usually informed us about this kind of interruption.

So what are you going to do today (without Adgitize)? :)

  1. I'm going about my normal blog writing, blog visiting, and living my real life. (I'm heading off line to a party for the next several hours. We'll see if Adgitize is back up when I'm back.)

  2. I thought there was something wrong with my laptop, but thanks for confirming this.

I guess it means just dropping ECs today unless it begins working again.

  3. Reassuring it happened to everyone. Something going on perhaps?

  4. I noticed it was down earlier but I'm on vacation so am not too concerned. I'll check back in later. Hopefully it will be back up then. Enjoy you day :)

  5. I'm not too concerned. I've only put Adgitize on one blog and I don't really take part in the daily ad clicking. :-)

  6. At first I thought it may be that I had updated to FireFox 3.6, but after searching the net it seems to be a big problem, it certainly makes our sites look a little untidy, if it stays down any longer I may temporary remove mine until it's back up and running!

  7. This happened right after I posted about the rollback prices. Well, hopefully they will fix it soon, but it doesn't make that big of a difference.

  8. It's already 8AM (my time) and it's still down. Got to work now, won't be able to do Adgitize round for today.

  9. It's not our fault that his server is down so Ken should find a way to credit at least US$0.50 to those Adgitize members who regularly do their visits on the network.

  10. @aldon:

I stopped watching for Adgitize as you could see it on the other blogs. As soon as the ads are up again, it should be possible to login :)

    Any Conspiracy theories available? :)

I only know that from 23rd January on the extended 24$ ads have to be renewed (mine should be renewed now). I don't think that this would be causing the problems when several dozen members renew their ads these days.

  12. @Karen:

Yes, it causes some empty slots on my blogs which look occasionally like it's already the end of my sidebar. Perhaps i should just rearrange the code as deleting costs again too much time when they are back online ;)

  13. @EdZee:

50 cents is little bit too much... i got with 440 points on 22nd just 46 cents and around 20 members achieve just 440 points on average.

Most of the members won't get their click points and almost everyone will have only one third of the ad/page view points. So there will be a little imbalance in the point system with many members in the high 200 and low 300 point tier and very few with 400 points (only the members with more than 2 ads in the system)
